The First Tee of Pittsburgh is one Chapter that makes up the World Golf Foundation’s nationwide initiative dedicated to influencing the lives of young people through teaching golf and the life lessons it imparts. The First Tee of Pittsburgh uses golf as a platform for teaching kids valuable life skills that help them in all segments of their lives.

These core values: Responsibility; Sportsmanship; Perseverance; Confidence; Judgment; Honesty; Respect; Courtesy; and Integrity help to make the kids better students, friends and citizens. The program includes teaching these values, life skills and golf skills. We provide low, or no-cost access to The Bob O'Connor Golf Course at Schenley Park, equipment, lessons and special events regardless of a family's financial circumstances. Eligible ages are six through the end of high school. The First Tee of Pittsburgh's Honorary Chairman is Arnold Palmer.
